Aegean Shipping Management enters new growth phase

On the opening day at Posidonia 2026, one of the industry’s most important global gatherings, we are proud to announce a landmark agreement with Hengli Heavy Industries for the construction of four new vessels: 2 LR2/Aframax tankers and 2 VLCCs.

With this agreement, Aegean Shipping Management S.A. enters the VLCC segment for the first time, a strategic move that reflects both our confidence in the market and our long-term vision for the future of the company.

These vessels will bring our fleet to 22 ships, including 16 tankers and 6 bulk carriers, while preserving one of our strongest competitive advantages: a young, modern fleet with an average age of approximately 3 years.

At the same time, the next six months will mark another important phase of expansion, with the delivery of 4 LR2/Aframax newbuilds, all chartered to Vitol.
